Desperate Times

Desperate Times
Duration: 00:03:32
Description:
A song and video about the destruction of the music industry, and the harm caused to music by theft and other abuses. Also some personal conflicts thrown into the mix, thanks to my collaboration with co-writer Matthew Madonia. Video was filmed at Lake Pueblo with a damaged Takamine guitar (no guitars were harmed in the filming!) and some footage of burning pianos courtesy Pond5.com.

I produced the song and composed/recorded the guitar and keyboard parts. I welcomed world class drummer Jason BIttner (Anthrax,Shadows Fall, Flotsam & Jetsam) for the killer drums, Martin Motnik on bass and one of the best metal/hard rock singers, Chris Clancy (Mutiny Within, Wearing Scars) on vocals. It was such a pleasure working with such awesome musicians and I appreciate their professionalism and the effort they put into my song. Finally, special thanks to Brad Smalling at Evergroove Studio (Denver area) for assisting me with the mix (lots and lots of tracks!) and the mastered song.

About Us StanAxeman

The heavy metal sounds of Alien Guitar Abduction derive from Stan Rose's early musical influences such as Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, refined by later bands such as Metallica and Dream Theater, and older school speed/dark metal such as Sepultura.

Have aliens abducted Stan Rose's guitar, or is his guitar the abductor? Rose isn't sure, although the strangeness of his musical tastes suggest the former. The only thing certain, as verified by Google, is that there is only one Alien Guitar Abduction!
