GroovyDisk is a new app for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad mobile devices.

The app is now in beta and we our looking for artists that are interested in getting their music out to as many people as possible by adding your music to the apps database.

This will not only help the developer test the app, get it out of beta testing and released to the public... it also means you will be one of the first to be on the new app when it is released to the public.

As soon as this app is released to the public, you'll be able to play the game yourself if you have an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad mobile device. Development for other mobile devices will be coming soon after the release of the app!

Note that by getting your music into the game, in this early stage, will ensure new listeners for your music, possibly gain you more fans... and it may even bring in a little revenue!

The "Goal of GroovyDisk":

GroovyDisk is about getting your music before more people, which is (typically) the ultimate goal for any indie artist. Since no one is paying for indie music - Which can be seen on the hundreds of music sites across the web - very very few indie artists really sell anything beyond maybe a few dollars in sales to their friends or fans. In which case, having more fans would could possibly bring in more revenue.

The GroovyDisk App is all about exposure for you and your music - it's not about earning $$$.
With that said, there will be badges for "Indie Artist Supporter" that can be purchased via the GroovyDisk App Store - A percentage of the revenues from this may be redistributed back to the LocalBandz artists (i.e. you), depending on the level of participation from the LocalBandz Artists.

"Long story short!" - We don't want anyone to think that GroovyDisk is about making pocket change for independent artists - it's about indie artists getting new fans and getting feedback from unbiased listeners on how good people think your songs are! And... hopefully users that discover new artists from LocalBandz.Com will visit and purchase your tracks or at least add to your fan base.

All LocalBandz Artists may participate by using 3 (Three) of your songs and using the "GroovyDisk" link in your control panel to submit your music to the app. If you don't have 3 songs uploaded, you won't be able to use the "GroovyDisk" feature here on LocalBandz.Com. All accounts are now set to allow 3 songs slots now so if you do not have 3 songs uploaded be sure to upload more.

Update for the GroovyDiks App.

It has now been submitted to Apple to approve its release. Which could be any day now!

This doesn't mean you can't get your music on GroovyDisk, you may still submit your tracks via your control panel. Just click the GroovyDisk button on the menu and follow the instructions.
